Winners ‘BEST OVERALL NEW EVENT 2016’
We are thrilled to announce that the outdoor screening of More Human Than Human: Blade Runner as part of Art and About 2016 has won Concrete Playgrounds BEST OVERALL NEW EVENT of 2016.
This was a special event for us as we were able to truly showcase what sets us apart as a production company. We have a longstanding working relationship with Golden Age Cinema so when they approached us with their idea we couldn’t have been more excited.
Intent on creating an immersive experience we got to the drawing board with the team and thought up activation spaces that would further enhance the screening of the film. Already setting the scene was Gouldburn carpark with its raw brutalist aesthetic surrounded by skyscrapers. Looking to bring the film to life we used a combination of projected animations, ambient lighting, smoke displays, soundscapes, detailed wayfinding and large LED archways. These features successfully created an event space that acted as an extension of the film and directly correlated with its industrialised, sci-fi dystopian aesthetic.
